Happy Heart!
This session was so exciting for me! All my sessions are exciting for me & meaningful. But this one pulled my heart strings. It is something I have always wanted to do, it is my heart. Where I come from. Who made me. The most important people in the world. Who I have to thank for all that I am, all in a few still images. I was shooting my first family session as a whole (aside from family functions or events) and Almost all of us together, I was sad not all of us were able to attend but so glad for the amazing photos we would have! In our culture that doesn't happen very often, it's not something that is considered to be done frequently. You have moments together & you remember them but quite often they are not captured with a lens by a photographer. Today of coarse it is much different and we snap tons of pictures wth our phones but it isn't the same. We were going to make some memories & have professional :) photos done! My mom has always wanted to get us together for these but for some reason or the other we could never plan it accordingly. So, I was thrilled to get this moment, with so much time and family milestones that have past, marriages, unities, grand babies & growth in all of our lives, we would see it all in our first family session together. I come from a very large family, living in different states & cities. To get all of us together is beyond hard! But since I was visiting this summer I thought it was about time to try & gather us all up and take some family portraits. While there are still several missing, 2 siblings, my brother & sister and their 4 kids to be exact, one of which was a newborn! That just means we will have to make it happen again, and in more years to come as we all continue to grow. I love my family & I'm glad to share with you some of your photos from our session! -xo
