It is such a beautiful scene in our neck of the woods with Fall in full effect & winter vastly approaching! Tons of yellow, orange & brown earthy green tones cover our thick summery grass. Alisa & James had such a great session in a picture-perfect scape of Fall. They made my job so much easier with their natural candid, fun spirited character in front of the camera. Take a look at these United States Airman stationed in Minot, ND. It was a pleasure taking their couple mini session & I am glad they are in love with their photos as much as I am.

A  backyard estate wedding outside of Deming, New Mexico, hosted loved ones gathering for a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple. Emme Takes Five with Simply Frosted!

I wanted to feature one of my favorite bakers on the blog, who makes the most delicious & yummiest of sweet treats! It has been quite awhile since the devouring, but.. life happens..literally. I am finally able to brag all about her! I love to go to her whenever I can & when I'm in the area closest to her, which she happens to be located all the way in Tucson, AZ! Maribel Jimenez with Simply Frosted, puts quite a touch to her "secret" made-from-scratch cakes & cookies. They have a unique flavor that I have not come across anywhere else, they make such a great dessert option & celebratory focal point to any party or event. This year I was lucky to have her make a cake I was desperately wanting to incorporate at my next party! Naked cakes, have been all the rage & with a super cute fresh floral crown I just couldn't wait to make. The problem was, throwing parties came few & far between,  with us being so far away & occassions in the past. So, for Emme's 5th birthday party celebration with family & friends this summer in New Mexico, ( I don't like to miss celebrating ANY birthdays without family-no matter where we're located, even if it's a few months later! lol) would be the perfect opportunity to have those mouth watering goodies from her! It's never too late to talk about party decor & the details which I have listed below. Take a look at the adorable simplicity in Simply Frosted & a few shots of Emme at her party!

Happy Heart!

This session was so exciting for me! All my sessions are exciting for me & meaningful. But this one pulled my heart strings. It is something I have always wanted to do, it is my heart. Where I come from. Who made me. The most important people in the world. Who I have to thank for all that I am, all in a few still images. I was shooting my first family session as a whole (aside from family functions or events) and Almost all of us together, I was sad not all of us were able to attend but so glad for the amazing photos we would have! In our culture that doesn't happen very often, it's not something that is considered to be done frequently. You have moments together & you remember them but quite often they are not captured with a lens by a photographer. Today of coarse it is much different and we snap tons of pictures wth our phones but it isn't the same. We were going to make some memories & have professional :) photos done! My mom has always wanted to get us together for these but for some reason or the other we could never plan it accordingly. So, I was thrilled to get this moment, with so much time and family milestones that have past, marriages, unities, grand babies & growth in all of our lives, we would see it all in our first family session together. I come from a very large family, living in different states & cities. To get all of us together is beyond hard! But since I was visiting this summer I thought it was about time to try & gather us all up and take some family portraits. While there are still several missing, 2 siblings, my brother & sister and their 4 kids to be exact, one of which was a newborn! That just means we will have to make it happen again, and in more years to come as we all continue to grow. I love my family & I'm glad to share with you some of your photos from our session! -xo
